San Francisco Bay
Welcome to 5 Bridges Vineyard where our vines not only produce award winning wines, but are Uniquely San Francisco!
We are located on a 140 acre ranch/vineyard located in unincorporated Alameda County, in the East Bay hills between Hayward and Pleasanton, California. At an elevation of 1,000 ft., we are blessed with ideal soils and an optimal microclimate, which strikes a balance between the temperate climate of the San Francisco Bay, and the often scorching heat of the Livermore Valley. Our property also offers unparalleled views that include all five bridges that span the San Francisco Bay - hence 5 Bridges Vineyard.
We are one of a small number of winegrowers in the San Francisco Bay Appellation (AVA). In 2001, we planted five acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Tempranillo. In 2005, we had our first harvest and have been making wine ever since. Production is limited to fewer than 300 cases per year in order to create a legacy of handcrafted, delectable and World Class wines.
