Fredericksburg in the Texas Hill Country
Fredericksburg was founded in 1847 by Baron Otfried Haus von Meusbach. The Baron named the town in honor of Prince Frederick of Prussia, who was the nephew of King Frederick William III of Prussia. Several years later a creek that flowed through the city was named in Baron von Meusebach’s honor. For over a hundred and fifty years, Barons Creek has quenched the thirst of many noblemen. At Barons Creek Vineyards, you don’t have to be a royal descendant to enjoy a good drink, but we’ll treat you like one anyway!
